The Sounding of The Seventh Trumpet (11:14-19)

The Final Trumpet and Woe (vs. 14)

The Coming of the Lord is the Seventh and Last Trumpet.

A Woe

Revelation 16:15—Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

A Mystery

Revelation 10:7—But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
1 Corinthians 15:51,52—Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

A Trumpet

Matthew 24:31—And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Revelation 11:15—And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

The Attending Manifestations (vs. 15-17)

“There Were Great Voices in Heaven”

There are many voices in heaven – Some are shouting (vs. 15).

  • Others shouting “Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty.” (4:8)
  • Some are singing a new song (5:9;14:3)
  • Voices shouting the Worthiness of the Lord. (5:12)
  • Some are worshipping (11:16-18)
  • A voice crying the Blessedness of the dead who died in the Lord. (14:13)
  • Voices crying to thrust in the sickle. (14:15)
  • An angel flying and shouting the fall of Babylon. And the fate of them that worship the Beast. (18:1-5)
  • Voices saying "Halleluia, Amen, Halleluia" (19:1-4)
  • A voice crying “It is done.” (21:6)
  • What the Voices Cry.

    “The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord.” (Daniel 7:13,14)

    “He shall reign forever and ever.”

    What the Four and Twenty Elders Do.

    “Sat before God on their thrones”

    Rule and authority with God.

    “Fell upon their faces. ”

    Not only bowed but fell on their faces.

    “And Worshiped God”

    This is what they said. vs. 17- 18. Lord God Almighty - Supreme in Authority “Theos” -The Supreme Divinity - All -Ruling -Sovereign “Which art, and wast, and art to come” - The same forever.

    The Attending Results of His Coming.

    A change in Government

    A change in the Government of the World, vs. 15

    The kingdoms that have been Babylon -Medo-Persia -etc.

    Their Nature – Wild beast to describe them – Dictatorial –Murderous – Demanding – Taxing. Things are not getting better. (2 Timothy 3:13)

    The Kingdom of Our Lord.

    The Judgment of the Dead. vs. 18.

    Shall be judged out of the books. Chpt. 20:12-15; Gal.6:7-8.

    Rewards Given To The Saints. vs. 18.

    "And that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name," - "Small and great" famous and none famous: What the Saints have gone through; Heb. 1###Pay day has not come. All shall be there - All shall be rewarded. Even a cup of water. Paul shall receive his crown ; II Tim. 4:7-8; Daniel shall stand in his lot - Moses shall receive his reward -that he had respect for Dan. 12:3; Matt~ 5:11-12; 10:42; 25:23; Luke 6:35; Eph.6:8; II Time. 2:1###Happy will be the people, when the last trumpet sounds, shall be found ready to meet the Lord.

    The Temple of God Was opened.

    There is a heavenly temple. Ex. 25:40; Heb.9:23; Copies- likenesses -patterns.

    The Ark is Seen.

    "Optanomia" - Gaze at something remarkable. - "Appear" "The Ark of His Testament" (Covenant) "There were lightnings" "And voices" and Thunderings, And an earthquake, and great hail.
