Biblical commands for moving from milk to solid food

  1. Put away sinful attitudes—malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander (1 Peter 2:1).
  2. Crave the pure Word so that you may grow (1 Peter 2:2).
  3. Become skilled in the word of righteousness rather than remaining inexperienced (Hebrews 5:13).
  4. Train your discernment through constant practice (Hebrews 5:14).
  5. Move beyond the elementary foundation toward maturity without abandoning that foundation (Hebrews 6:1–2).
  6. Stop living according to jealousy, strife, and human factions (1 Corinthians 3:1–4).
  7. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind so that you can discern God’s will (Romans 12:2).
  8. Test everything and hold firmly to what is good (1 Thessalonians 5:21).
  9. Grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).
