Hephzibah

Rev. James R. Hicks

This Bible school was Established with God's help, & Founded by Rev. James R. Hicks. The School was located in Portland, Me.

Bro. Hicks was also the Pastor of the Hephzibah Pentecostal Church, now known as the "First Assembly of God, " on Cumberland Avenue in Portland.

Bro. Hicks passed away in 1945, and the Bible School was eventually closed. Bro. Hicks's son-in-law (a former student) Rev. Paul Johnson, is still living to this date, and had even served as the Pastor at the Church, there.

Jubilee Bible Institute

This Establishment was Founded with God's Help, by Rev. Rinaldo D. McLeod c1946. It was located in Newport, Me. It was a "Branch" of the old Newport Full Gospel Church, presently located on Elm St. The Church there was originally calld The "House of prayer," then, the "Jubilee Gospel Association." Many of it's students, and or Graduates, are named in "Prevailing Westerlies." Bro. McLeod's Church Ministry in Newport, was formed by the same "corporation" that his father-in-law Elder Arthur L. Fish had, in Bangor, Me. Pastor McLeod passed away in March of 1962, and eventually this School was closed. Rev. McLeod had also been Associated with Rev. James R. Hick's Fellowship in Portland, Me.

Faith School of Theology

Rev.(s) Russell K. & Doris Pier & Doreen

This Ministry was started in Old Orchard Beach, Maine under the Divine Auspices of The Holy Ghost. Pastors Rev.(s) Russell K. & Doris Pier, had Founded The "Faith Tabernacle," and then, This School later in 1959. Students came from alll over. Bro. & Sis. Pier & Faculty, taught basic, traditional, fundamental Doctrines, such as: the trinity, the rapture, Biblical Holiness, and the such like. Dr. Pier, also liked to expound indefinately on Bible Prohecy in Daniel and Revelation. The Church has since relocated to another area of town, and it's name changed. As for the Bible School, it is still afloat, after all these years. After moving to Brooklin, Maine, for a season, the Establishment finally rests in Charleston. Under new Direction, this place "sends forth" more graduates now, than ever. Many from it's first Graduation Class and on, are still in Ministry Today.

"Theology" - Basically, The Study of God (Himself)

Note: It was recalled that at one point in History, a Bible School of the Church of God Affiliation Flourished in Appleton, Me. There may have been Others as well, However, MOST are dissolved to date.

Apostolic Bible Institute

Reverends Bernard & Evelyn Elliot

This Bible School, with God's Divine Help, was Founded ALONG WITH The old Auburn Full Gospel Assembly, in Auburn Maine, by Rev. Bernard Elliott. ABI, was an Old-Fashioned Pentecostal School! MOST of it's Graduates are still in The Gospel Ministry, Today. Bro. Elliot has Pastored The Arundel (Me.) Christian Tabernacle, now, along with his wife, for the last 27 plus years.

Deliverance Bible Institute

This Ministry ws formed in 1969, with God's ALL-Mighty Help, by Rev. James R. Reynolds, Sr. The School was an outreach of The Church that had been Established in 1967. Pastor Reynolds has Served The LORD, his Family, & The Deliverance Center Church Family Faithfully, for ALL these years! The homeless, alcoholics, & drug addicts of the city have also been Helped at This Soul-Filling station, as well, down through the years, For God's GLORY.

A NUMBER of it's former Student's & Graudates, are STILL in Full-Time Ministry, Today. Pastor Reynolds has a unique set of Doctrinal "Tenets of Faith." His Teachings are Inspired by the late, Rev. James R. Hicks, formerly of Portland. Bro. Reynolds Believes in the trinity, but also that there will be a TRANSLATION of The Bride, (Overcomers), Pre-Trib like Enoch, a RAPTURE of the The Church Mid-Trib like Elijah; and a RESURRECTION of The 144,000 Jews Post-Trib. he aslo Believes that there is a plateau IN God, that we CAN reach in this Life, of course with God's Hellp, where that we ARE Perfect (The Overcomers). Furthermore, he Believes that IN that Perfected state one DOES NOT HAVE TO die physically. He too Believes in Bible Holiness.

"Deliverance" - Basically, to be "MADE free" By God ALL-Mighty, from ANY bondage.

St. John 8:32 kjv - And ye shall know the TRUTH, and the TRUTH shall MAKE you free!"

St. John 14:6 kjv - "Jesus saith unto him, I AM The WAY, The TRUTH, and The LIFE: no man cometh unto The FATHER, But by ME."

St. John 8:36 kjv - "IF The SON therefore shall MAKE you Free, ye shall Be Free Indeed!"
