# Moved by God's Spirit to Travail for Souls > Isa 66:8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.

 

The secret of success is an all-consuming zeal and an all subduing travail for souls.

 

As soon as the voice of the gospel put the church of the Jews into her travail, in Christ's and the Apostles time, it brought forth.

 

 

  1. There must be travail before there is spiritual birth
    1. To have them saved you must agonize for them.
      1. Oh for the travail that produces Immediate results
        1. Travail is the churches plough

Lu 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

 

Job 4:8 Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.

Isa 28:24 Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground?

 

1Co 9:10 Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.
