Come Let Us Break Bread

COME LET US BREAK BREAD

Verse 1: The Cross became a table as they lay it on the ground,

And upon it they placed the Bread of Life as Jesus lay down,

With swords and with spears the soldiers gathered round,

A hammer was raised to drive those nails in their place,

If as though the soldiers said.

Verse 2; He said take this cup and as oft as you drink think of me

And remember this blood that was shed for you from me

And take this bread and break it like they broke me

The Blood's for your cleansing, the bread's for your healing

Come have communion with me.

Chorus: Come let us break bread

Come let us break bread

As we gather together at the Lord's table

Come let us break bread.

COME LET US BREAK BREAD

COME LET US BREAK BREAD

Verse 1: The Cross became a table as they lay it on the ground,

And upon it they placed the Bread of Life as Jesus lay down,

With swords and with spears the soldiers gathered round,

Chorus: Come let us break bread

Come let us break bread

As we gather together at the Lord's table

Come let us break bread.

Come To Me

Come to me key-C

Verse 1

I tried to forget the joy that I once had

That came from knowing Christ

No matter how far I strayed

i never  could escape his grace, it's so amazing

how could he still love me after all that I have done

Yet he embraced me with his Arms of love

I heard the voice of mercy saying

Chorus

Come to me just as you are

Come to me and I will heal your broken heart

Forgiveness can be found if you'll only believe

All you have to do is come me

Verse 2

You Try to disguise the guilt hidden deep inside

 by putting on a smile

Held captive by your past You wonder if the pain will last forever

The peace of mind  your searching for is not so far away

If you will listen carefully to the saviors voice

you'll hear him saying

Days Of Elijah

These are the days of Elijah Declaring the word of the Lord, yeah And these are the days of Your servant, Moses Righteousness being restored

These are the days of great trials Of famine and darkness and sword Still we are the voice in the desert crying Prepare ye the way of the Lord!

Say, behold He comes, riding on the clouds Shining like the sun, at the trumpet's call Lift your voice, (it's) the year of Jubilee Out of Zion's hill, salvation comes

And these are the days of Ezekiel The dry bones becoming as flesh And these are the days of Your servant, David Rebuilding the temple of praise

And these are the days of the harvest The fields are all white in the world And we are the laborers that are in Your vineyard Declaring the Word of the Lord

Say, behold He comes, riding on the clouds Shining like the sun at the trumpet's call Lift your voice, (it's) the year of Jubilee Out of Zion's hill, salvation comes

Behold He comes, riding on the clouds Shining like the sun at the trumpet's call Lift your voice, (it's) the year of Jubilee Out of Zion's hill, salvation comes

There's no God like Jehovah! There's no God like Jehovah! There's no God like Jehovah! There's no God like Jehovah! (7 x’s)

Behold He comes, riding on the clouds Shining like the sun, at the trumpet's call Lift your voice, (it's) the year of Jubilee Out of Zion's hill, salvation comes

Behold He comes, riding on the clouds Shining like the sun, at the trumpet's call Lift your voice, (it's) the year of Jubilee Out of Zion's hill, salvation comes

Down from His Glory

Down From His Glory

CHORUS: O how I love Him! How I adore Him!

My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!

The great Creator became my Savior,

And all God’s fulness dwelleth in Him.

Verse 1: Down from His glory,  Ever living story,

My God and Savior came,  And Jesus was His name.

Born in a manger,  To His own a stranger,

A Man of sorrows, tears and agony.

Verse 2: What condescension,  Bringing us redemption;

That in the dead of night,  Not one faint hope in sight,

God, gracious, tender,  Laid aside His splendor,

Stooping to woo, to win, to save my soul.

Verse 3: Without reluctance,   Flesh and blood His substance

He took the form of man,  Revealed the hidden plan.

O glorious myst’ry,  Sacrifice of Calv’ry,

And now I know Thou art the great “I AM.”

Everywhere He Went He Was Doing Good

Everywhere He Went He Was Doing Good

VERSE 1

Well I've been reading, and I've been feeding, upon the precious Word of God.

Marvelous story, so full of glory; It is the path that Jesus trod.

He was man's deliverer, and sin forgiver, every problem He understood.

Everywhere He went, my Lord was doing good…doing good.

CHORUS

Everywhere He went…He was doing good.

Gave beatitudes, helped the multitudes, everywhere He could.

When the cripples saw Him, they started walking; the dumb were talking like they should.

Everywhere He went, my Lord was doing good…doing good.

VERSE 2

Jesus opened blind eyes; He heard the lame cry; He raised the dead and calmed the sea.

He's a mighty helper; He cleansed the leper, and He set the captive free.

Though the world denied Him, and crucified Him, He abides with us today.

And His mighty power is just the same today.

Gentle Shephered

Gentle Shepherd come and lead us For we need you to help us find our way Gentle Shepherd come and feed us For we need your strength from day to day There's no other we can turn to Who can help us face another day

Gentle Shepherd come and lead us For we need to you to help us find our way

What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer! Oh, what peace we often forfeit, Oh, what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer!

There's no other we can turn to Who can help us face another day

Gloryland Way

GO REACH THE WORLD

GO REACH THE WORLD

VERSE 1

It all starts with just one voice

That takes a stand, that makes a choice

To live for God and not hesitate

To tell the world about amazing grace.

VERSE 2

One day that seed somehow breaks through,

Where there was one, there now stands two.

And soon another takes his hand

A ray of hope that spreads across the land.

VERSE 3

Across the mountains, across the sea,

Soon others join in harmony.

They found the cross still standing strong

And soon a mighty chorus sings along.

Chorus:

Go reach the world, touch one more soul

Bring one more lamb back to the fold.

Each soul another flag unfurled.

Each voice another chance to reach the world.

VERSE 4

Don't let me pray, Lord for wealth or fame

A spark that sets the world a flame.

But help me reach the lost and alone,

To tell of joy and hope where hope is gone,

Where hope is gone.

God’s Not Through With You

God’s Not Through With You

(Verse 1)

You might be looking failure in the eye.

You're sure you wanna give up, you've lost the will to try.

Everything you planned has come apart.

You're through with starting over, you're running out of heart.

(Chorus)

God's not through with you.

He's got a work only you can do.

Don't fall for Satan's lies,

God's hand's still on your life.

Oh no, God's not through with you.

(Verse 2)

I'm here to say that God believes in you.

It doesn't matter what you've done, Jesus died for you.

So, give it all and don't hold back a thing.

You might be surprised at the good that God can bring.

Going Back

Going Back

1. What ever happened to death do us part,
Does the home reflect the heart,
Parents faces tell of worried minds,
While children search but can't seem to find.
It's time we took a closer look,
Got back to living by the Holy book,
No compromise without getting slack,
You see, we'll go forward if we'll just go back.

2. We'll know the tree by the fruit we see,
Serving God has no in-between,
we're either cold or we're hot,
He said luke warm will have no part.
It's coming down to in or out,
There's no time for playing around,
We're going back to lost or found,
We're going back to stand our ground.

3. Then we'll rise like a sleeping giant,
Standing tall in God's strength and might,
The power we've claimed for go long,
You see it's returning, we're being made strong.
We're not looking to the right or the left,
Our eyes are spirit lead,
We're going back to true or false,
Church we've got to go back to Calvary's Cross.

Cho. We've got to go back to living true,
We're going back to the absolute,
Back to where the church stood strong,
Back to where there's a right there is a wrong,
Back to where it's black or white,
You see the difference is like day and night,
we're going back to things above,
We're going back to our first love.

He is Everywhere I Go

He is Everywhere I Go

VERSE 1:

Some may wonder where is this God of Israel

They say we’ve never see Him So how are we to know

Just take a look at this homeward road I’m traveling

And you will see a mighty God everywhere I go

CHORUS:

He’s in the eye of my storm, The bottom of my ocean

The morning and the midnight, And every wind that blows

On the top of my mountain, The lowest of my valleys

Where is God, He’s everywhere I go

VERSE 2:

Three Hebrew Children they found Him in the fiery furnance

Bartimaeus found Him on the road to Jericho

Paul and Silas they found Him in a dark cold dungeon

Wherever we are that is where I God will go

He Leadeth Me

1

He leadeth me: O blessed thought!

O words with heavenly comfort fraught!

Whate'er I do, where'er I be,

still 'tis God's hand that leadeth me.

2

Sometimes mid scenes of deepest gloom,

sometimes where Eden's flowers bloom,

by waters calm, o'er troubled sea,

still 'tis God's hand that leadeth me. Refrain

3

Lord, I would clasp thy hand in mine,

nor ever murmur nor repine;

content, whatever lot I see,

since 'tis my God that leadeth me. Refrain

4

And when my task on earth is done,

when, by thy grace, the victory's won,

e'en death's cold wave I will not flee,

since God through Jordan leadeth me. Refrain

Chorus

He leadeth me, he leadeth me;

by his own hand he leadeth me:

his faithful follower I would be,

for by his hand he leadeth me.

He Never Gave Up

He Never Gave Up

Chorus

He never gave up, He never gave up Mercy reached down and that was enough. If you could see who I was before, then I'm sure you'll agree He never once, never gave up on me.

verse 1

Now it's been a long, long road. And my soul is grown so weary. I just can't understand all the struggles within me. There's been times I strayed away even times I could not pray. But somehow my faith would say just hold on there's a brighter day.

verse 2

If your back's against the wall and feel all hope is gone Have you often asked yourself is there reason to go on. But He looks beyond my guilty stains, and His Mercy takes the blame. So forget about your past just praise The Lord you're free at last.

I Am

CHORUS

I am, I am, I am, I am

VERSE 1

I am the Lord, I’m the Almighty God
I am the One for whom nothing is too hard
I am the Shepherd and I am the Door
I am the Good news to the bound and the poor

VERSE 2

I am the righteous One and I am the Lamb
I am the Ram in the bush for Abraham
I am the Ultimate Sacrifice for sin
I am your Redeemer, the Beginning and the End

VERSE 3

I am Jehovah, and I am your King
I am Messiah, David’s Offspring
I am your High Priest, and I am the Christ
I am the Resurrection, I am the Life

VERSE 4

I am the Bread, and I am the Wine,
I am your Future, so leave your past behind
I am the One in the midst of two or three
I am your Tabernacle, I am your Jubilee

VERSE 5

I am Hope, I am Peace, I am Joy, I am Rest
Oh I am your Comfort, and Relief from your stress
I am Strength, I am Faith, I am Love, I am Power
And I am your Freedom, this very hour

I Can Still Go Free

I Can Still Go Free

VERSE 1

Lock me up in a prison

And throw away the key

Take away the vision

From these eyes that now can see

Then deprive me of the food I eat

And even bind my hands and feet

For as long as I know Jesus, I can still go free

CHORUS

That I could still go free

What kind of man would reach down his hand and do this for me

Unworthy to live and not fit to kill

Yet a man on the cross put me in His will

And said that I could still go free

VERSE 2

I never could quite understand why a king would wanna leave His throne

To dawn the robe of an earthly man and feel the pain of flesh and bone

Then to later trod that lonely path, That lead to Calvary

But those blood red stains broke all my chains, So that I could still go free

I Keep Falling in Love with Him

I KEEP FALLING IN LOVE WITH HIM

I KEEP FALLING IN LOVE WITH HIM

VERSE 1

O when I first fell in love with Jesus
I gave Him all of my heart
And I thought I couldn’t love Him more
Than I did right from the start
But when I look back at the mountains
And valleys where I’ve been
Then it makes me know that I love Him so
Much more than I did then

CHORUS

I keep falling in love with Him
Falling in love with Him
Over and over again (2x)

It gets sweeter and sweeter as the days go by
O what a love between the Lord and I
I keep falling in love with Him
Over and over again

VERSE 2
There is a hand I can hold on to
Through each valley and each trial
And there’s a shoulder I can lean upon
When I face another mile
And there’s a love I can depend upon
It’s fresh and new each day
And with love my heart is overflowing
That is why I say

Jesus Be the Lord of All

VERSE 1

In my heart are kingdoms of

A world that's all my own

By myself and God alone

In the past when I tried to rule my world

It just seemed to fall apart

So please Jesus be the lord of all

The kingdoms of my heart

VERSE 2

I guess I only fool myself

For I said I have yielded all

But in a secret corner of my heart

Was a kingdom that didn't fall

I surrender now, make my heart your throne

Rule it's kingdoms, great and small

For if your not Lord of everything

Then your not Lord at all

** CHORUS**

Jesus be the lord of all

Jesus be the lord of all

The kingdoms of my heart

Jesus I surrender all

Jesus I surrender all

Stand Still and Let God Move

The Isaacs

Verse 1:

The Father has a plan. Though it's hard to see it now

Verse 2:

When the enemy surrounds you, And the walls are closing in

You can rest assured and be secure, God is moving right now

Stand still and let God move,

Standing still is hard to do

When you f eel you have reached the end,

He'll make a way for you

They That Wait Upon the Lord

Teach me Lord to wait
Down on my knees.
Help humble my pride
Answer my pleas.
Teach me not to rely
On what others do,
But to wait in prayer
For an answer from you.

Those who wait upon the Lord
Shall renew their strength.
They shall mount up with wings like eagles.
They shall run and not be weary.
They shall walk and not faint.
Teach me Lord, Teach me Lord, to wait.

Teach me Lord to wait
While hearts are aflame.
Help me humble my pride
And call on Your name.
Keep my mind renewed
Keep my eyes on the Thee.
Help me be on earth
What you want me to be.

Those who wait upon the Lord
Shall renew their strength.
They shall mount up with wings like eagles.
They shall run and not be weary.
They shall walk and not faint.
Teach me Lord, Teach me Lord, to wait.

There’s a time and a season
For all things.
You promised in Your Word
To answer my pleas.
I’m crying to You, Lord
To grant sweet relief
Oh, God
Remove all unbelief.

Those who wait upon the Lord
Shall renew their strength.
They shall mount up with wings like eagles.
They shall run and not be weary.
They shall walk and not faint.
Teach me Lord, Teach me Lord, to wait.

Whatever It Takes

VERSE 1:

There's a voice calling me from an old rugged tree

And it whispers, 'Draw closer to Me'

Leave your world far behind, There are new heights to climb

And a new life in Me you will find!

VERSE 2:

Take the dearest things to me

If that's how it must be to draw me closer to You

Let my disappointments come

Lonely days without the sun

If in sorrow more like You I'll become

VERSE 3:

I'll trade sunshine for rain, comfort for pain

That's what I'll be willing to do

For whatever it takes for my will to break

That's what I'll be willing to do

That's what I'll be willing to do

CHORUS:

For whatever it takes to draw closer to You, Lord

That's what I'll be willing to do

And whatever it takes to be more like You

That's what I'll be willing to do

I Feel Like Something Good is About to Happen

Bill Gaither / Gaither Music / ASCAP

Verse 1

I have learned in all that happens, just to praise Him For I know He's working all things for my good Every tear I shed is worth all the investment For I know He'll see me through, He said He would He has promised eye and ear can hardly fathom All the things He has in store for those who pray I just feel like something good is about to happen And brother, this could be that very day

Verse 2

Yes I've noticed all the bad news in the paper And it seems like things get bleaker everyday But for this child of God it makes no difference It's bound to get better either way I've never been more thrilled about tomorrow Sunshine's always bursting through the skies of gray I just feel like something good is about to happen And brother, this could be that very day

Chorus

I just feel like something good is about to happen I just feel like something good is on its way He has promised that He'd open all of Heaven And, brother, it could happen any day When God's people humble themselves and call on Jesus And they look to Heaven, expecting as they pray I just feel like something good is about to happen And, brother, it could be this very day

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE BLOOD

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE BLOOD
Marty Funderburke and Tammy Dunaway

Verse 1
It’s not cathedrals, it’s not steeples/

Its not crosses made of gold/

It’s not just sentimental stories that have been passed down from old.

It’s not religion or tradition that can save the souls of man.

It took the sinless blood of one Holy Lamb.

Chorus
It’s all about the blood, it’s all about Calvary.

It’s all about mercy flowing down an old rugged tree.

It’s all about grace, it’s all about a sacrifice.

God’s love is all about the blood of Jesus Christ.

Verse 2
It’s the scarlet thread that ties the beginning to the end.

It’s a river of forgiveness to wash away our sin.

It’s a healing stream, a fountain

An eternal cleansing flood

and the heartbeat of the Gospel with forever be the blood.

Chorus
It’s all about the blood, it’s all about Calvary. / It’s all about mercy flowing down an old rugged tree. / It’s all about grace, it’s all about a sacrifice. / God’s love is all about the blood of Jesus Christ.

Verse 3
What can wash away my sin? / Nothing but the blood of Jesus. / What can make me whole again? / Nothing but the blood of Jesus. / It’s all about grace, it’s all about a sacrifice./ God’s love is all about the blood of Jesus Christ. / God’s love is all about the blood of Jesus Christ

PAUL'S MINISTRY

I.
The Lord said, "Stand up, Paul, and dry up your tears
You must preach My Gospel for many long years.
Go down to Damascus, the street that's called Strait
And meet Ananais, and there you must wait.

Cho.
I counted on Adam, I counted on Cain,
I counted on Jonah, but he was the same.
I counted on Judas, but he proved untrue
So go tell the world Paul, I'm counting on you."

II.
Three days have gone by, Lord, and still I can't see
And here comes my brother acalling for me.
He says "Brother Paul, the Lord in the sky
Has sent me to heal you, and to open your eyes."

III.
"I'll send you to the Gentiles, I'll send you to Rome,
And Paul you will suffer 'till I call you home.
You will sleep in the desert, and be shipwrecked at sea,
But go right on preaching the Gospel for Me.

One last verse to "Paul's Ministry".

"Many years have gone by, Lord, and still I've been true.
But I must leave this great field with you.
I've finished my course, Lord, I've taught in Your name;
I'm sure there are others who will do the same."

The Truth, the Life, the Door

Let's talk about Jesus more and more

The great Physician too, down through all history
The Lily pure and white, the Rose of Sharon fair
The shepherd of such tender care

Love Went Deeper

Love Went Deeper

Verse 1:

The only way that I love you

Is if I know you love me too

That's how shallow our love becomes

But Calvary's love reached everyone

Verse 2:

No greater wrong could man have done

Than to take the life of my God's own Son

No greater love hath any man

Than to give his life for his friends

Chorus:

Love went deeper

Than the crown of thorns

They placed upon His head

Love went deeper

Than the stripes He bore

When the blood ran crimson red

Love went deeper

Than the hole they dug

When they dropped that old cross in place

Love went deeper than the depths of hell

Deep enough to take my place

The Journey

Part 1

Let me take you on a journey

Let me warn you before we start

This won’t be a picnic

‘Cause we’re not strolling through the park

In your own imagination

See the awful sights unfold

When we reach our destination…../Deep inside a sinner’s soul

Part 2

See these tears that’s formed these rivers

That go rushing through his eyes

In this valley of heartache

‘Neath the mountain of lies

Here the fields are cold and barren

Only yielding endless shame

And on the walls of ____________ canyon

Sin has carved his name

Part 3

Now let us press a little deeper

Where a million dreams have died

And did you hear that old grim reaper

Suggesting suicide

Smell the smoke, and feel the flames

Lord, Hell’s volcano’s ‘bout to blow

Ain’t it a cryin’ shame…. /It never let him know

Part 4

And when we leave there will be no souvenirs

 for anyone to claim

Cause the only thing were taking …. /is the blame

THE LOVE OF GOD

Verse1.

The love of God is greater far

 Than tongue or pen can ever tell;

It goes beyond the highest star,

And reaches to the lowest hell;

The guilty pair, bowed down with care,

God gave His Son to win;

His erring child He reconciled,

And pardoned from his sin.

Chorus:

O love of God, how rich and pure!

 How measureless and strong!

It shall forevermore endure

The saints' and angels' song.

Verse 2.

When years of time shall pass away,

And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,

When men, who here refuse to pray,

On rocks and hills and mountains call,

God's love so sure, shall still endure,

All measureless and strong;

Redeeming grace to Adam's race

The saints' and angels' song.

Verse 3.

Could we with ink the ocean fill, And were the skies of parchment made, Were every stalk on earth a quill, And every man a scribe by trade, To write the love of God above, Would drain the ocean dry. Nor could the scroll contain the whole, Though stretched from sky to sky.

The Middle Man

VERSE 1

There was a mountain

and there were three trees

There was a good man

and there were two thieves

A man called Barabbas

was doomed for the tree

But Jesus took the middle one

and Barabbas went free

CHORUS

I love that man in the middle

because I know he first loved me

Praise to that man

who died on mount Calvary

The Middle Man

made it possible

 that I could go free

VERSE 2

A hill called Golgotha

 the place of a skull

No yellow flowers

no trees in bloom

 the scenery was so dull

Three crosses stood black and bold

 against a darkened sky

And not from pain

 but a broken heart

 that middle man did die

The Old Rugged Cross

1. Refrain: So I'll cherish the old rugged cross, till my trophies at last I lay down; I will cling to the old rugged cross, and exchange it some day for a crown. 2. O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world, has a wondrous attraction for me; for the dear Lamb of God left his glory above to bear it to dark Calvary. (Refrain) 3. In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine, a wondrous beauty I see, for 'twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died, to pardon and sanctify me. (Refrain) 4. To that old rugged cross I will ever be true, its shame and reproach gladly bear; then he'll call me some day to my home far away, where his glory forever I'll share. (Refrain)

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross, the emblem of suffering and shame; and I love that old cross where the dearest and best for a world of lost sinners was slain.

THERE'S A MIRACLE IN THE MAKING

1) The crowd was great but she knew she had to reach Him. For it was her last hope of ever being healed. So she pressed through until she touched his garment Oh, and right then and there, her miracle was fulfilled. 2) Have you prayed and prayed and still you find no answer. Has your faith grown weak and you feel you're all alone? Don't give up for the God you serve won't leave you. There's a miracle for you, just keep holding on. Chorus There's a miracle in the making One for you the Father is working even now. Your prayers have been heard and the answer is on the way There's a miracle in the making for you today.

Thou, Oh Oh Lord, Art a Shield for Me

Thou, Oh Lord Many are they increased that troubled me Many are they that rise up against me Many there be which say of my soul There is no helpe for him in God But thou, oh Lord are a shield for me My glory and the lifter of my head Thou, oh Lord are shield for me My glory and the lifter of my head Repeat I cried unto the Lord with my voice And he heard me out of His holy hill I laid me down and slept and awaked For the Lord sustained, for he sustained me Thou, oh Lord are a shield for me My glory and the lifter of my head Thou, oh Lord are shield for me My glory and the lifter of my head

Refrain: I need Thee, O I need Thee; Every hour I need Thee; O bless me now, my Savior, I come to Thee.

TOO MUCH TO GAIN TO LOSE

 1. too many miles behind me Too many trails are through Too many tears help me remember There's to much to gain to lose. Chorus Too many sunsets lie behind the mountain Too many rivers my feet have walked through Too many treasures are waiting over yonder There's too much to gain to lose. 2. i've crossed the hot burning dessert I was struggling the right road to choose But somewhere up ahead there's cool clear water And defeat is one word i'll never use. Tag: Oh, too many treasures are waiting over yonder There's too much to gain to lose!

'Twas a Day in Early Springtime

G 1. ’Twas a day in early springtime, By an ancient wayside well, Eliezer paused to rest his camel train. He had found a bride for Isaac Ere the evening shadows fell, For his weary journey had not been in vain. Chorus: Oh, get ready! Evening shadows fall. Don’t you hear the Eliezer call? There’s going to be a wedding, And our joy will soon begin, In the evening when the camel train comes in. 2. So he took the fair Rebekah, Dressed in jewels rich and rare, Quickly to her waiting bridegroom far away. Where Rebekah loved her Isaac, And he loved Rebekah fair; Oh, it must have been a happy wedding day. 3. Now the blessed Holy Spirit, From our Father God above, Has come down to earth to find a worthy Bride. For our Isaac over yonder Has prepared His tents of love, And He wants His fair Rebekah by His side. 4. We have left our kinfolk gladly; We have bade the world goodbye. We’ve been called to be His pure and spotless Bride; Where we’ll soon behold our Jesus In that blest eternity-- What a happy, happy wedding that will be! v Gen. 24:66 And the servant told Isaac all things that he had done.

Whatever It Takes

VERSE 1 There's a voice calling me From an old rugged tree And it whispers, "draw closer to me" Leave this world far behind There are new heights to climb And a new place in me you will find. CHORUS: For whatever it takes to draw closer to you, Lord That's what I'll be willing to do. For whatever it takes to be more like you That's what I'll be willing to do. VERSE 2 Take my houses and lands Change my dreams and my plans For I'm placing my whole life in your hand. And if you call me today To a land far away Lord I'll go and your will obey. <CHORUS> VERSE 3 Take the dearest thing in me If that's how it must be To draw me closer to you. Let the disappointments come Lonely days without the sun If through sorrows more like you I'll become.

When He Reached Down His Hand for Me

VERSE 1 Once my soul was astray from the heavenly way I was wretched and vile as could be But my Savior in love, gave me peace from above When he reached down His hand for me CHORUS When the Savior reached down for me When he reached down His hand for me I was lost and undone, without God or His Son When he reached down His hand for me VERSE 2 I was near to despair when He came to me there And He showed me that I could be free Then He lifted my feet, gave me gladness complete When He reached down His hand for me VERSE 3 How my heart doth rejoice when I hear His sweet voice And the tempest to Him I can flee There to lean on His arms, safe secure from all harm Since he reached down his hand for me

When I Lay My Isaac Down

Writer-Billy Fields Publisher-Fields for Harvest

Abraham prayed for the day God would give him a son Blessed Isaac was his name The greatest gift he’d ever known Then came the day, who would have dreamed God would say “Give him to me On this mountain you will prove, It’s you and Isaac, or it’s me and you” When I lay my Isaac down Broken heart but my Fathers proud On this altar here he lays Just to find it wasn’t him, he wanted me Most of us I’d dare to say Have an Isaac in God’s way On the Altar God will prove It’s not your Isaac that he wants He wants you

On this altar here he lays Just to find it wasn’t him, he wanted me

A BEAUTIFUL LIFE

1. Each day I’ll do a golden deed, By helping those who are in need; My life on earth is but a span, And so I’ll do the best I can. ? Refrain: Life’s evening sun is sinking low, A few more days, and I must go To meet the deeds that I have done, Where there will be no setting sun. 2. To be a child of God each day, My light must shine along the way; I’ll sing His praise while ages roll, And strive to help some troubled soul. 3. The only life that will endure, Is one that’s kind and good and pure; And so for God I’ll take my stand, Each day I’ll lend a helping hand.

4. I’ll help someone in time of need, And journey on with rapid speed; I’ll help the sick and poor and weak, And words of kindness to them speak.

5. While going down life’s weary road, I’ll try to lift some trav’ler’s load; I’ll try to turn the night to day, Make flowers bloom along the way.

And friends are friends forever

If the Lord’s the Lord of them

And a Friend will not say never

Cause the welcome will not end

Though its hard to let you go

In the Father’s hands we know

That a lifetime’s not too long

To live as friends

Back to the Altar

Verse 1: Here I stand upon this path With the rocks beneath my feet I fail to read the signs That pointed to the way that’s straight My head bowed low My spirit groans I know not what to do But my heart cries out, “I’ll just go back to the Place where I prayed through” Chorus: I’m going back to the altar again Down on my knees where God’s mercy began I’m going back to where I found life anew I’m going back to the place where I prayed through Verse 2: Now I stand before the cross By the blood completely free I can feel that sweet forgiveness Like a flood wash over me I raise my hands to worship And be thankful for the day I had courage to go back To the place where I prayed through

Fresh Oil

V1. For so long the church has been, in a dry and barren place. There's no oil in our vessel, there's no burden to save. Its lost and dying world, that needs the Lord today. We must fall on our face, and press on to be refreshed. Chorus We need fresh oil, striaght from the throne. We a holyghost annointing and that fire in our bones. GO REACH THE WORLD

VERSE 1 It all starts with just one voice That takes a stand, that makes a choice To live for God and not hesitate To tell the world about amazing grace. VERSE 2 One day that seed somehow breaks through, Where there was one, there now stands two. And soon another takes his hand A ray of hope that spreads across the land. VERSE 3 Across the mountains, across the sea, Soon others join in harmony. They found the cross still standing strong And soon a mighty chorus sings along. Chorus: Go reach the world, touch one more soul Bring one more lamb back to the fold. Each soul another flag unfurled. Each voice another chance to reach the world. VERSE 4 Don't let me pray, Lord for wealth or fame A spark that sets the world a flame. But help me reach the lost and alone, To tell of joy and hope where hope is gone, Where hope is gone.

Go Tell It On the Mountain

VERSE 1:

While shepherds kept their watching Over silent flocks by night, Behold throughout the heavens, There shone a holy light: Go, Tell It On The Mountain, Over the hills and everywhere; Go, Tell It On The Mountain That Jesus Christ is born.

VERSE 2:

The shepherds feared and trembled When lo! above the earth Rang out the angel chorus That hailed our Saviour's birth: Go, Tell It On The Mountain, Over the hills and everywhere; Go, Tell It On The Mountain That Jesus Christ is born.

VERSE 3:

Down in a lowly manger Our humble Christ was born And God send us salvation, That blessed Christmas morn: Go, Tell It On The Mountain, Over the hills and everywhere; Go, Tell It On The Mountain That Jesus Christ is born.

Go Tell It On the Mountain VERSE 4:

When I am a seeker, I seek both night and day; I seek the Lord to help me, And He shows me the way: Go, Tell It On The Mountain, Over the hills and everywhere; Go, Tell It On The Mountain That Jesus Christ is born.

CHORUS:

Go, Tell It On The Mountain, Over the hills and everywhere; Go, Tell It On The Mountain That Jesus Christ is born.

CHORUS 2:

He made me a watchman Upon the city wall, And if I am a Christian, I am the least of all.

Going Back

1. What ever happened to death do us part, Does the home reflect the heart, Parents faces tell of worried minds, While children search but can't seem to find. It's time we took a closer look, Got back to living by the Holy book, No compromise without getting slack, You see, we'll go forward if we'll just go back. 2. We'll know the tree by the fruit we see, Serving God has no in-between, we're either cold or we're hot, He said luke warm will have no part. It's coming down to in or out, There's no time for playing around, We're going back to lost or found, We're going back to stand our ground. 3. Then we'll rise like a sleeping giant, Standing tall in God's strength and might, The power we've claimed for go long, You see it's returning, we're being made strong. We're not looking to the right or the left, Our eyes are spirit lead, We're going back to true or false, Church we've got to go back to Calvary's Cross. Cho. We've got to go back to living true, We're going back to the absolute, Back to where the church stood strong, Back to where there's a right there is a wrong, Back to where it's black or white, You see the difference is like day and night, we're going back to things above, We're going back to our first love.

Got any rivers you think are impossible? Got any mountains you can not tunnel thorough? God specialzes in things thought impossilbe And he can do what no other God can do. I learned this song about 50 years ago 1. Be of good courage God spake unto joshua, When o'er the river God pointed the way. Jordan uncrossable! things seemed impossible, Waters divide as they march and obey. Chorus: Got any rivers you think are uncrossable? Got any mountains you can't tunnel through? God specializes in things thought impossible: He can do what no others can do. 2. Battles to win! they would meet their obstacles, Jericho's walls, too, must fall to the ground. God never failed; He stood back of His promises, Walls had to crumble as the marched around. 3. God is the same and His word is dependable; He'll make a wat through the waters for you. Life's situations by Him are amendable, Mountains and hills He will part for you too.

I Was There When It Happened

Verse1

Chorus

Verse 2

There are some people, who say we cannot tell,

Whether we are saved or, whether all is well;

They say we only can hope and, trust that it is so,

But I was there when it happened and I guess I ought to know.

Yes,I know when Jesus saved me (saved my soul),

The very moment He forgave me (made me whole);

He took away my heavy burdens, Lord he gave me peace within(peace within)

Satan can't make me doubt it,

It's real and I'm gonna shout it

I was there when it happened and I guess I ought to know

Now, I don't care who tells me, salvation is not real,

Though the world may argue, that we cannot feel;

The heavy burdens lifted and the vile sins gone,

But I was there when it happened and I guess I ought to know.

Verse 1 It’s not cathedrals, it’s not steeples/ Its not crosses made of gold/ It’s not just sentimental stories that have been passed down from old. It’s not religion or tradition that can save the souls of man. It took the sinless blood of one Holy Lamb. Chorus It’s all about the blood, it’s all about Calvary. It’s all about mercy flowing down an old rugged tree. It’s all about grace, it’s all about a sacrifice. God’s love is all about the blood of Jesus Christ. Verse 2 It’s the scarlet thread that ties the beginning to the end. It’s a river of forgiveness to wash away our sin. It’s a healing stream, a fountain An eternal cleansing flood and the heartbeat of the Gospel with forever be the blood. Chorus It’s all about the blood, it’s all about Calvary. / It’s all about mercy flowing down an old rugged tree. / It’s all about grace, it’s all about a sacrifice. / God’s love is all about the blood of Jesus Christ. Verse 3 What can wash away my sin? / Nothing but the blood of Jesus. / What can make me whole again? / Nothing but the blood of Jesus. / It’s all about grace, it’s all about a sacrifice./ God’s love is all about the blood of Jesus Christ. / God’s love is all about the blood of Jesus Christ

PAUL'S MINISTRY

 I. The Lord said, "Stand up, Paul, and dry up your tears You must preach My Gospel for many long years. Go down to Damascus, the street that's called Strait And meet Ananais, and there you must wait. Cho. I counted on Adam, I counted on Cain, I counted on Jonah, but he was the same. I counted on Judas, but he proved untrue So go tell the world Paul, I'm counting on you." II. Three days have gone by, Lord, and still I can't see And here comes my brother acalling for me. He says "Brother Paul, the Lord in the sky Has sent me to heal you, and to open your eyes." III. "I'll send you to the Gentiles, I'll send you to Rome, And Paul you will suffer 'till I call you home. You will sleep in the desert, and be shipwrecked at sea, But go right on preaching the Gospel for Me.

One last verse to "Paul's Ministry". "Many years have gone by, Lord, and still I've been true. But I must leave this great field with you. I've finished my course, Lord, I've taught in Your name; I'm sure there are others who will do the same."

Love Went Deeper

 Star Spangled Banner

Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there. O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave? On the shore dimly seen thro' the mists of the deep, Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep, As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam, In full glory reflected, now shines on the stream: 'Tis the star-spangled banner: O, long may it wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave! And where is that band who so vauntingly swore That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion A home and a country should leave us no more? Their blood has wash'd out their foul footsteps' pollution. No refuge could save the hireling and slave From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave: And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave. O, thus be it ever when freemen shall stand, Between their lov'd homes and the war's desolation; Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land Praise the Pow'r that hath made and preserv'd us a nation! Then conquer we must, when our cause is just, And this be our motto: "In God is our trust" And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Battle Hymn of the Republic

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord: He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored; He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword: His truth is marching on. Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! His truth is marching on. I have seen Him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps, They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps; I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps: His day is marching on. I have read a fiery gospel writ in burnished rows of steel: "As ye deal with my contemnors’, so with you my grace shall deal; Let the Hero, born of woman, crush the serpent with His heel, Since God is marching on." He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat; He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment-seat: Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet! Our God is marching on. In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea, With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me: As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free, While God is marching on. He is coming like the glory of the morning on the wave, He is Wisdom to the mighty, He is Succour to the brave, So the world shall be His footstool, and the soul of Time His slave, Our God is marching on.

VERSE 1

Once in streets of Bethlehem

There they stood all alone;

The baby was coming

And there was no place to go.

They said there was no room

For there’s too much going on

We hate to send you off,

But you’ll have to go without

VERSE 2

There was no great procession

There was no robe or crown

This King came down to earth

For a cross and not a throne

Though many will reject Him

There’s still a faithful few

Who will open up their hearts

And enter life anew

Room for the Saviour

The Answer Came

The Answer Came

VERSE 1:

I searched and searched from day to day,

to know in my heart that I was saved.

I wanted to know the answer for sure.

So when God's spirit spoke to me,

this is the hour you can be free.

I called on the Lord that night,

and then the answer came.

Chorus:

The answer came, while I was kneeling there in prayer.

The anwer came, I felt His mighty saving powr.

When the Saviour came and saved my soul,

He caused the angry billows to go.

Now I'm praising the Lord each day, that the answer came.

VERSE 2:

I was heavy laden burdened with care,

that night I called on God in prayer.

I felt in my soul the answer would come.

And sure enought as I knelt to pray,

God came took my burdens all away.

Now I'm glad in my soul for the night,

that the answer came.

THE LOVE OF GOD

THE LOVE OF GOD

1. The love of God is greater far

Than tongue or pen can ever tell;

It goes beyond the highest star,

And reaches to the lowest hell;

The guilty pair, bowed down with care,

God gave His Son to win;

His erring child He reconciled,

And pardoned from his sin.

2. When years of time shall pass away,

And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,

When men, who here refuse to pray,

On rocks and hills and mountains call,

God's love so sure, shall still endure,

All measureless and strong;

Redeeming grace to Adam's race

The saints' and angels' song.

3. Could we with ink the ocean fill,

And were the skies of parchment made,

Were every stalk on earth a quill,

And every man a scribe by trade,

To write the love of God above,

Would drain the ocean dry.

Nor could the scroll contain the whole,

Though stretched from sky to sky.

Chorus:

O love of God, how rich and pure!

How measureless and strong!

It shall forevermore endure

The saints' and angels' song.

The Love of God

Words and Music by Frederick M. Lehman, 1868–1953

The unusual third stanza of the hymn was a small part of an ancient lengthy poem composed in 1096 by a Jewish songwriter, Rabbi Mayer, in Worms, Germany. The poem, entitled “Hadamut,” was written in the Arabic language. The lines were found one day in revised form on the walls of a patient’s room in an insane asylum after the patient’s death. The opinion has since been that the unknown patient, during times of sanity, adapted from the Jewish poem what is now the third verse of “The Love of God.”

The words of this third stanza were quoted one day at a Nazarene campmeeting. In the meeting was Frederick M. Lehman, a Nazarene pastor, who described his reaction:

The profound depths of the lines moved us to preserve the words for future generations. Not until we had come to California did this urge find fulfillment, and that at a time when circumstances forced us to hard manual labor. One day, during short intervals of inattention to our work, we picked up a scrap of paper and added the first two stanzas and chorus to the existing third verse lines.

Pastor Lehman completed the hymn in 1917. His daughter Claudia (Mrs. W. W. Mays) assisted him with the music.

The Old Rugged Cross

1. On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,

the emblem of suffering and shame;

and I love that old cross where the dearest and best

for a world of lost sinners was slain.

Refrain:

So I'll cherish the old rugged cross,

till my trophies at last I lay down;

I will cling to the old rugged cross,

and exchange it some day for a crown.

2. O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,

has a wondrous attraction for me;

for the dear Lamb of God left his glory above

to bear it to dark Calvary.

(Refrain)

3. In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,

a wondrous beauty I see,

for 'twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,

to pardon and sanctify me.

(Refrain)

4. To that old rugged cross I will ever be true,

its shame and reproach gladly bear;

then he'll call me some day to my home far away,

where his glory forever I'll share.

(Refrain)

There is Power In the Name of Jesus

There is Power In the Name of Jesus

Verse 1:

Mother barely twenty out there on her own,

A teenage boy in prison before he’s even grown,

The illness of a loved one, a widow no one calls,

But there is one solution, there’s an answer for it all.

Verse 2:

A nation needing mercy, we’re just fightin’ for our lives.

We’re a church needs revival; maybe a broken man and wife.

But in the name of Jesus all those chains of bondage fall,

You see, your prayers are heard and they’re answered, when God’s children call.

Chorus:

There is power in the name of Jesus;

There is hope, there is strength, and victory to claim.

There is healing in His holy presence;

There is power in His name.

There's Still a Cross

There's still a cross key-E

Verse 1

In a time of uncertainty when your backs against the wall

You feel like everything is hopeless and there's no one left to call

There's no rhyme or reason for what's happening to you

You cried out with all that's in you

There's no one to see you through

You begin to think its over, There's nothing else you can do

You've done everything you know is right, But there's no one there for you

When you're all alone and helpless and you know you reached your end

Then some one takes you by the hand and says wait a minute friend

chorus

There's still a cross that stands, There's still a God that saves

No matter how bad things are looking, You gotta know that help is on your way

There's still the savior s blood, there's still his nail scared hands

That can save you from your sin, Make your life whole again

There's still a cross that stand s (2x's)

verse 2

So when the enemy surrounds you , And you feel you've reached your end

Just Let Jesus take you through the fire, He will bring you out again

There's Something About A Mountain

There's Something About A Mountain

Verse 1

Though sometimes I'm disappointed by the friends that I hold dear,
I refuse to be defeated by the ghosts of doubt and fear.
I could think about my weakness, keep my eyes upon the sod,
But my help comes from a mountain that brings me close to God.

Verse 2

This old wilderness holds nothing and I'm not content to stay
For I've seen a land of riches, milk and honey every day.
I'll not let those mighty giants blind my eyes to Canaan's land
For there's a mountain to remind me that victory's close at hand.

Chorus

Oh there's something about a mountain that reaches for the sky,
That speaks of things eternal, of a hope that never dies.
Like the blessed Rock of Ages, repose amid the din,
I'll just go up to the mountain and keep my trust in Him.

To Get To Jesus

To Get To Jesus

It was comfortable and dry, In the boat that stormy night

When Peter saw the Lord out on the sea

He said Lord you're not that far, Let me come to where you are

And as he stepped out of the boat, He just believed

Maybe you can't see down the road

And where you've been God only knows

And the hope inside your heart

It's almost died

Well friend I have good news

Hope is reaching out to you

You see He's right here in this room

Don't let Him pass you by

Yeah that same voice that raised the dead

When he said: "Lazarus come forth!"

Is calling you, what will you do?

What are you waiting for?

chorus

Whatever it takes to get to Jesus

Just one touch would be enough For all I'm needing

So when I hear Him say come

I'm not gonna walk, I'm gonna run... Right now

To get to Jesus:

Twas a Day in Early Springtime

'Twas a Day in Early Springtime

     G

1.  ’Twas a day in early springtime,

    By an ancient wayside well,

Eliezer paused to rest his camel train.

He had found a bride for Isaac

    Ere the evening shadows fell,

For his weary journey had not been in vain.

    Chorus:

Oh, get ready! Evening shadows fall.

Don’t you hear the Eliezer call?

There’s going to be a wedding,

And our joy will soon begin,

In the evening when the camel train comes in.

2.  So he took the fair Rebekah,

Dressed in jewels rich and rare,

Quickly to her waiting bridegroom far away.

    Where Rebekah loved her Isaac,

    And he loved Rebekah fair;

Oh, it must have been a happy wedding day.

3.  Now the blessed Holy Spirit,

    From our Father God above,

Has come down to earth to find a worthy Bride.

    For our Isaac over yonder

Has prepared His tents of love,

And He wants His fair Rebekah by His side.

4.  We have left our kinfolk gladly;

We have bade the world goodbye.

    We’ve been called to be His pure and spotless Bride;

Where we’ll soon behold our Jesus

    In that blest eternity--

What a happy, happy wedding that will be!

We’ve Come this Far By Faith

We’ve Come this Far By Faith

We've come this far by faith,

leaning on the Lord;

trusting in his holy word.

He's never failed us yet.

Oh! We can't turn back,

we've come this far by faith.

1. Don't be discouraged

with trouble in your life;

he'll bear your burdens

and move all discord and strife. Oh!

2. Just remember with good things he has done;

things that seemed impossible,

oh, praise him for the vict'ries he has won. Oh!

I'm Going To Heaven, I'm going There When I Die

Chorus

Verse 1

Verse 2

Verse 3

Verse 4

Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing

Verse 1:

Come, thou Fount of every blessing, tune my heart to sing thy grace;

streams of mercy, never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise.

Teach me some melodious sonnet, sung by flaming tongues above.

Praise the mount I'm fixed upon it - mount of God's redeeming love.

Verse 2:

Here I find my greatest treasure; hither by thy help I've come;

and I hope, by thy good pleasure, safely to arrive at home.

Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the fold of God;

he, to rescue me from danger, bought me with his precious blood.

Verse 3:

Oh, to grace how great a debtor - daily I'm constrained to be!

Let thy goodness, like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to thee:

prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, prone to leave the God I love;

here's my heart, O take and seal it; seal it for thy courts above.

He Didn't Throw the Clay Away

Verse 1

Chorus

Verse 2

Ending

Footsteps of Jesus

Footprints of Jesus, That make the pathway glow;

We will follow the steps of Jesus Where’er they go.

Sweetly, Lord, have we heard Thee calling,

Come, follow Me!

And we see where Thy footprints falling

Lead us to Thee.

Though they lead o’er the cold, dark mountains,

Seeking His sheep;

Or along by Siloam’s fountains,

Helping the weak.

If they lead through the temple holy,

Preaching the Word;

Or in homes of the poor and lowly,

Serving the Lord.

Though, dear Lord, in Thy pathway keeping,

We follow Thee;

Through the gloom of that place of weeping,

Gethsemane!

If Thy way and its sorrows bearing,

We go again,

Up the slope of the hillside, bearing

Our cross of pain.

By and by, through the shining portals,

Turning our feet,

We shall walk, with the glad immortals,

Heav’n’s golden street.

Then, at last, when on high He sees us,

Our journey done,

We will rest where the steps of Jesus

End at His throne.

Mary Bridges Canedy-Slade (1826-1882)

Mary was born on January 18, 1826 in Fall River, Massachusetts, where she would remain her entire life. She was the eleventh of thirteen children born to William and Susan Luther Canedy.

She was a teacher and served as assistant editor of The New England Journal of Education and editor of Wide Awake. She was well-educated and became a minister's wife (her pastor before he was her husband), teacher, and poet. She was assistant editor of The New England Journal of Education. She also authored hymns, Sunday school materials and books on education, primarily used for training teachers. She authored a children's magazine, “Wide-awake”.

She and her husband, Albion King Slade (M. June 2, 1850), were active in the underground railroad. The Canary house was one of six known safe houses in Fall River. The conductors and their "cargo" were criminals, breaking the Fugitive Slave Law. The white conductors risked steep fines and imprisonment. She spent her whole life living in the same town.

Mary Slade wrote "Footsteps of Jesus" 1871. This was just 1 of over 100 hymns written by Mary. Footprints of Jesus was first published in The Amaranth, a supplemental Sunday school collection for the Methodist Episcopal Church, South. Mary Slade lived just 11 years longer (age 56) after composing this song of devotion to God. She was described once as a “warm-hearted Christian woman”. She died on April 15, 1882 in Fall River, the city she was born in.

At the time of her death she was editorof the journal "Wide Awake". It was pitched at children, a theme that likewise influenced her previous venture as an editor of the New England Journal of Education.

Let the Spirit Descend

Written by John Mace Purdom-Masters.

VERSE 1 — When John Came Preaching,
Preparing The Way,
For Jesus The Heavenly King.
That All Who Believe And Trust In His Name,
Could Stand In God’s Kingdom,
And Not Be Ashamed.

CHORUS — Let The Spirit Descend, Like A Beautiful Dove,
As It Did Upon Jesus That Day.
They Were Baptized By John,
In The River Of Jordan.
God’s Voice Spoke Like Thunder,
Saying “This Is My Son.”

VERSE 2 — When Lazarus Lay Dead In The Grave Four Days,
Martha Sent For Jesus To Come.
He Said “Lazarus Come Forth”
And He Heard What He Said.
Lazarus In Grave Clothes Arose From The Dead.

VERSE 3: — JESUS HUNG ON THE CROSS,
HIS TEARS FELL LIKE RAIN.
THE MULTITUDE MOCKED HIM TO SHAME,
FORGIVE THEM FATHER FOR THINGS DONE TO ME.
AS HE DIED ON THE CROSS,
AT CRUEL CALVARY.

Written by J.M. Purdom. John Mace Masters ("Johnnie Masters") was born near Jacksonville, Florida. His last name was Purdom, but his father died before he was born and his mother remarried P.S. Masters. His wife, Lucille Masters was born in Homerville, Georgia, but her family moved to Jacksonville within a year after she was born. They had three children, Johnnie Owen, Evelyn and Deanna. In 1946, John and Lucille were saved and from that time on, performed almost only sacred material. Johnnie would write secular songs later, but they became known primarily as a bluegrass gospel group.

"traditionalists might frown upon their compromise with modern instrumentation after 1952, but none can deny that they started a trend followed by virtually everyone in that field."
