Keep the Faith: A Call to Never Surrender to Evil (Revelation 14)

Revelation 14:1-12 — 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Re 12:7-11 And there was war in heaven: but overcame the dragon

In a scene that was precedd by (Revelation 12) "the devil is come down unto you", "a persecuted women births a child and then flees to the wilderness" "where is suffers but indeed survives "floods (12:16) of attack by that dragon"

Rvelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Re 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Keep the Faith: Do Whatever it Takes (Titus)

A. It takes godly leading examples so that it be preserved to the God's glory.

I. Before and After Salvation has Come (Evidence)

(Titles 2:11-15; 3:1-3; and Zachaeus Luke 19:1-10; and a negative example: Matthew 3:8

-v.11 that is its design -- to all men - hath shined out

Malachi 4:2 — But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

Tit 3:1 ¶ Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,

Tit 2:11 ¶ For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Avoid Factious Men

Tit 3:9 ¶ But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

ADMONISH Nouthesia can mean advise given concerning dangerous consequences of a happening or action. “to impart understanding,” “to set right,” “to lay on the heart.” The stress is on influencing not merely the intellect but the will and disposition. “training by word,” <--- (course) CORRECTION

Tit 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. 16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Titus 1:12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.


Luke 1:47 — And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

1 Timothy 1:1 — ¶ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;

I. Has Appeared!

Titus 2:11 ¶ For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

II. Will yet Appear!

13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
