TITLE: The Peace of God

TEXT: Php 4:7 _And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus._

* “Peace” can be found in 431 VERSES. in scripture  (War  & trouble  in 330 verses)
* _#12 Obsolete _. _to be or become silent._

IS PEACE OBSOLETE? world has been at peace less than eight percent of the time!

## 1. PEACE WITH GOD

> Ro 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have **<span style="text-decoration:underline;">peace with God</span>** through our Lord Jesus Christ:

NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT--Is my heart right with God? **<span style="text-decoration:underline;">Everything else is secondary</span>**.

## 2. THE PURPOSE OF GOD’S PEACE

**Luke 12:51** _Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? ...division:_

**IS THE BELIEVER's PEACE _John 14:27 Peace <span style="text-decoration:underline;">I leave with you,</span> ….  Ps 4:8; _**Isa 26:3 

→ The Quieting of Our own Spirit is an act of FAITH. → It is in God’s Hands!

UNKNOWN-- Safety consists not in the absence of danger but in the presence of God.

## 3. COME IN PEACE....GO IN PEACE

Am I a whirlwind of trouble everywhere I blow? **A QUIET SPIRIT**----(A LOUD SPIRIT) ----

## 4. HOLDING MY PEACE

Ps 39:2;  Isa 42:14;  Jer 4:19 

## 5. WHEN GOD JUDGES:

## 6. Peace Within Doesn’t Have to be Hindered by the Trouble Without

Something wrong if everyday of life is a CRISIS --

 &lt;<The disciples were full of fear because of the storm:>> **Mt 8:26  ILL**: Painting Peace TROUBLE WITHOUT----Nothing unique to me!  **Job 5:7** _ **Mt 5:45** **2Ti 2:9 ** **Job 14:1-15**_

## 7. Calming the Storm Inside:

1) **Confess and Repent of all sins known and hidden** Ps 38:3 _&lt;FORGIVENESS> Mt 6:15 _

2) **Take Comfort in God’s Promises &lt;I Am NOT ALONE>** Ps 86:7;  2Co 1:20; 2Pe 1:4 


3) **Resist the Devil ** Jas 4:7 _….Resist the devil, and he will flee from you._

4) **Praise the Lord  **(Praise Makes Perfect) Ps 59:16 

## CONCLUSION
