THE HUMAN CONDITION * **What is the human condition?** All of humanity regardless of race, gender, environment is SUBJECT to certain conditions. These conditions are called “The human condition.” 1. SIN  PRONE to SIN, Selfsih ### Ps 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Isa 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. SICKNESS * **FRAILTY**, OLD AGE, SICKNESS, DEATH Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 2Ki 13:14 Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof.2Ki 13:20 ¶ And Elisha died, and they buried him. NEEDS * God, Air, Water, Food, Shelter SATISFACTION SOUGHT AFTER * Companionship, _It is not good that man should be alone_ * Man is insufficient in himself, a DEPENDENT **Joh 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.** 2. FAITH We are captives as long as our limits/liberty does not exceed the human condtion. 1. Faith Reaches Beyond the Human Condition A CRY FOR DELIVERANCE. Heb 11:9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. There is only one profitable way to hide our weakness: 1Sa 25:29 Yet a man is risen to pursue thee, and to seek thy soul: but the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life with the LORD thy God; and the souls of thine enemies, them shall he sling out, as out of the middle of a sling. Col 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 2.
