I am a child of the one true God - September 18, 2021

I am a child of the one true God. His name is Jesus. He freely gave every drop of His life essence to cleanse me from sin. He has rescued me from hells fate. He has caused His Salvation to pump through my mortal veins.

I once was of this world now of it I no longer take part. Now as my path continues in Christ I notice my path necessarily departs further and further from the path I was once on. Sin no longer has a hold on me. I no longer fear it's penalty.

To stay on this path will cost me all that I am. I must needs be cleansed daily in the blood of the spotless lamb. It is not that I repeat the sins of yesterday for that is not repentance. I look to my heart for the new areas that must be surrendered on this day.

So I no longer chase the things I once did. I no longer try to find my happiness, peace and fulfillment in a world filled with sin. Anything found outside of God can only steal, kill and destroy. So a heart more and more filled with Christ I shall daily employ.

Dearest Father let Salvations song ring. Let it fill my heart and then my country. Let it move our hearts from sea to shining sea. Let our souls be once more found in liberty. We look not to man. As Your children we look only to You.
