Tips

  • Keep a Journal to track your reading progress but also to make note of important ideas you read about. Writing something down will improve your ability to remember.

  • Pick a schedule and be consistent. Read at least once a day and try to read at the same time(s) every day.

  • If you fall behind, just do a little math and spread the number of verses behind over the course of a week instead of trying to catch all up in one day.

  • Make time for both reading and reviewing what you have read. Perhaps, separate these aspects as follows: read the day's passages in the morning and in the evening review the passage making some kind of note and comment on the passage.

  • Take time each day to talk to someone about what you read.
