Introduction

We need to be like Christ and seek out the lost that they may be saved. The purpose of this study is to prompt, encourage and equip each individual Christian to do personal work that souls will be saved, God will be glorified and Christian Soul-Winners will receive a reward. Prov. 11:30; Dan. 12:3; Phil 4:1; I Thess. 2:19

Every Christian must be a Soul-Winner.

It is the highest honor, the greatest privilege and the most solemn responsibility to be a soul-winner for Jesus Christ.

The Christian that manifests the Life of Jesus is the Salt of the Earth and the Light of the World. (Matt. 5:13-16)

Winning souls is the greatest priority. Soul winning is the very heartbeat of Christ, therefore, it should be ours.

Personal soul-winning is the Divine method for the Christian. Acts 1:8; John 15:16; 8-27; I Peter 4:10,11; Luke 14:23

God is glorified, when the glorious power of his grace is manifested in saving a soul.

Remember: Light shines its brightest in the darkest hour. Matt 1:16; 2:16; 3:16; 4:16; 5:16

The Apostles’ example throughout the book of Acts:

Acts 1:16-22 was a very dark hour for the disciples.

If one disciple may fall for any reason, another must arise.

They needed a disciple that had been with Him from the beginning of His ministry until His ascension There were two candidates, Justus and Matthias.

They needed an eye witness to the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Matthias was the first choice as one of the leading apostles, but just because you’re not one of the leading apostles you can remain faithful to follow as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

In Acts 2:3, the light appears as the Holy Ghost Fire burns and 120 people become a witness to 3000 people!

Acts 2:3—And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire,…

Acts 1:8—But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Acts 2:4-11, 14, 29, 36-47— Peter lifts up his voice.

Acts 2:21—… whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Acts 2:41—…same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Acts 3:2, 4-16, 19, 26— Peter and John witness to one man.

Acts 5:11-42— “all the church” was affected by God’s judgment. The apostles rejoiced in suffering shame for His name.

Acts 6:1-7: 60— Stephen prays for his enemies

Acts 8:26-40— Philip winning a soul through God’s leading

Acts 9:10-20— Ananias through a vision helped Saul

Acts16:26-32 — Paul and Silas winning the jailer

Acts 20:26-27…I [Paul] am pure from the blood of all men.

Acts 24:25 Soul-winning is conversion not just conviction

Acts 26:28, 29 almost is not enough

Acts 28:28 “The Salvation of God is sent”

Salvation is the work of God; therefore, soul-winning is the work of the Believer.

If you are not a Soul-winning Christian, what are you?

Proverbs 13:16—Every prudent man dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open his folly.

What does the Lord say concerning every Christian? We must bear fruit—souls.

Matthew 7:17,19—Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Matthew 16:27—For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Matthew 19:29—And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

Matthew 25:29—For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

Mark 16:15—And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

If we are not concerned about winning souls, we will be rooted up. Every Christian must be planted, rooted and grounded in Jesus Christ, but we will die spiritually if we do not witness.

Ephesians 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

Colossians 2:7—Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

John 15:2—Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

The Seven Elements

The Sinner’s Prayer

1. Acknowledge that they are a sinner.

2. Request for forgiveness.

3. Confession of faith in the Blood.

4. Invitation

5. Acceptance

6. Commitment

7. Thanksgiving

Keep words simple, but be sure to include all the important elements of the sinner’s prayer. In being simple yet thorough, the mind, soul and spirit can all be made alive. The specific words used are not as important as the one praying understanding and believing all of these concepts. Salvation is a spiritual birth that you as a believer can witness if you follow the Biblical pattern.

1. Acknowledge

God, be merciful to me a sinner.

2. Request

Forgive me of all my sins.

3. Confession

Wash me in the Blood YOU shed on the Cross of Calvary.

4. Invitation

Come into my heart to be my Lord, my Master, and my Savior!

5. Acceptance

I now receive You, Jesus, as my Savior.

6. Commitment

I will pray and attend the house of the Lord. I will serve You and read the Bible.

7. Thanksgiving

I thank You, Jesus, for saving my soul!

Hii ndiyo heshima ya juu kabisa, na pia ni upendeleo mkubwa ingawa ni wajibu muhimu kuwa anayeiokoa roho kwa ajili ya Kristo.

Mkristo anayedhihirisha maisha ya Yesu ni chumvi ya ulimwengu na mwanga wa dunia hii. (Mat. 5:13-16)

Matendo 1:16-22 ilikuwa ni kipindi cha giza kwa wafuasi wake

Iwapo kwa sababu yeyote mmoja wa wafuasi wake akianguka mwingine aweze kuendelea mbele.

Walihitaji mfuasi wake aliyekuwa pamoja naye toka mwanzoni mwa kazi yake hadi alipopaa mbinguni.Walikuwepo wafuasi wawili ambao ni Yusto na Matiasi

Walihitaji mshuhuda wa ufufuko wa Kristo kutoka wafu.

Matiasi akawa ndiye chaguo la kwanza kama kiongozi wa waliokuwepo mwanzoni, ila kwa kuwa wewe siyo mmoja wa wafuasi wake wa kwanza unaweza kuendelea kumfuata Kristo kwa uaminifu Katika Matendo 2:3, taa inalinganishwa na Roho Mtakatifu. Moto unawaka na watu 120 wanashuhudia kuokolewa kwa watu 3000!

Matendo 2:3-Wakatokewa ndimi zilizogawanyikana kama ndimi za moto ……

Matendo 1:8-Lakini mtapokea nguvu akishawajilia juu yenu Roho Mtakatifu nanyi mtakuwa mashahidi wangu katika Yerusalemu na katika Uyahudi wote, na Sumaria na hata mwisho wa nchi.

Matendo 2:4-11, 14, 29, 36-47- Petro akapaaza sauti yake.

Matendo 2:21-…Na itakuwa kila atakayeliita jina la Bwana ataokolewa

Matendo 2:41-…na siku ile wakaongezeka watu wapata elfu tatu.

Matendo 20:26-… [Paulo] akasema sina hatia ya damu ya mtu awaye yote.

Matendo 24:25 Kuokoa roho siyo jambo lakushauriwa bali ni kugeuka kabisa.

Matendo 28:28 “Mungu amewapelekea pia mataifa wokovu huu”

Wokovu ni kazi ya Mungu; kwa hiyo, kuokoa roho ni jukumu la kila anayeamini.

Mt. 25:29- Ole wenu, waandishi na Mafarisayo, wanafiki! Kwa kuwa mnayajenga makaburi ya manabii, na kuyapamba maziara ya wenye haki.

Marko 16:15- Akawaambia, Enendeni ulimwenguni mwote mkaihubiri Injili kwa kila kiumbe

Kama hatujishuhulishi na wokovu wa Roho za watu tutang’olewa. anapaswa Mizizi ya kila Mkristo inapaswa kuwa ndani yake Yesu Kristo ila tutakufa kiroho kama hatutatoa ushuhuda wake.

Waefeso 3:17 Kristo na akae mioyoni mwenu kwa imani mkiwa na shina na msingi wenu katika upendo.

Wokolosai 2:7 Wenye shina na wenye waliojengwa katika yeye; mmefanywa imara kwa imani, kama mlivyofundishwa: mkazidi kutoa shukrani.

Maneno yanayotumika siyo muhimu zaidi ya yule anayeungama kuelewa na kuamini mambo yote haya. Wokovu ni sawa na kuzaliwa upya kiroho ambapo anayeamini anashuhudia kama atatimiza na kufuata mpango huu Biblia:

Nisamehe dhambi zangu zote.

Unioshe katika Damu ULIYOMWAGA msalabani Kalivari

Njoo moyoni mwangu uwe Bwana, na Mkombozi wangu

Sasa nakupokea ee Yesu, kama Mkombozi wangu

Nitasali na kufika katika nyumba ya Bwana. Nitamhudumia Bwana na nitalisoma neno lake.
