I. The Meaning of It

Song 3:7 “Behold his bed”

  • look at His Bed

This seems to be the answer to the question that has been asked. “Who is this

Luke 3:15 And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not;

John1:23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

22 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?

25 And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;

27 He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.

When John looked at himself he saw himself only as a voice, not as a great one but just a voice.

S.O.S. 3:7 “Behold his bed”

1. She is His Resting place

The Bride is His resting place or dwelling place

Mat. 8:20 And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

Luke 9:58 And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?

39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.

Eph 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

1 8 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Where is His Resting place?

Christ may dwell in your heart

Romans 11:36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen

Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

HE HAD NO RESTING PLACE BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T KNOW HIM

  • THEY SHOULD KNOW HIM     PROPHESY PROMISES PREACHING

Mark 7:8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

Rev. 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Psalm 24:7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

 8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

 9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory.

He is Knocking *** He is looking for a place of rest and refreshing

Pleasing Him – He notices everything you do.  Visit, need, sick, prison,

Mat. 25:37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38  When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39  Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

He finds something satisfying from the Bride. (He is sick with the Church) He is about ready to spue the church out of His mouth.
