The Urgent Call

Isaiah 55:1,5,6,11 — Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. 5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee. 6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

John 3:27 — John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

John 3:32,33 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. 33 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

John 1:11 — He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

How urgent is your need of Christ?

How responsive are you to His call?

Isaiah 55:6 — Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

  • Seek ye the LORD while he may be found
  • call ye upon him while he is near

Exodus 12:33 — And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.

Daniel 3:22 — Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

Psalm 69:13 —; But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

Job 35:12 There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.
