A WORK OF GOD

Hab. 1:5 Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.  (Hab 1:5)

This was to be a work of judgment upon Israel.  God will judge America.

I.        NOT A WORK OF MAN

        A.        Man can not work as God works.

        B.        God’s ways are far above the ways of man.

        C.        We need a Divine intervention.

II.        GOD’S WORK IS MIGHTY

Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon         all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his         ways,         and according to the fruit of his doings:  (Jer 32:19)

O Lord, how great are thy works – Ps. 92:5

The works of the LORD are great – Ps. 111:2

        A.        Nothing is impossible with God.

        B.        A mighty outpouring in these last days.

        C.        God wants to work for us.

And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and         let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that         the LORD will work for us: for there is no restraint to the LORD to         save by many or by few.  (1Sa 14:6)

III.        WE MUST DO THE WORK OF GOD

I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night         cometh, when no man can work.  (Joh 9:4)

A.        Work the works of Him.

Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the         works of God?  (Joh 6:28)

Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye         believe on him whom he hath sent.  (Joh 6:29)

B.        God must do a work in you.

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good         pleasure.  (Phi 2:13)

C.        Move with God.
