  1. DEATH OF THE OLD MAN

 

“Present your bodies a living sacrifice”

 

    1. Altar

 

      1. Instrument of death
      2. Present ourselves

 

        1. An act of the will
        2. Not forced by God
        3. Not bound with cords

 

    1. Crucified with Christ – Rom. 6:6

 

      1. Body of sin destroyed.
      2. Not servants of sin.

 

        1. Don’t allow sin to reign – Rom. 6:12
        2. Make not provision for the flesh – Rom. 13:14

 

    1. Freed from sin – Rom. 6:7

 

      1. From the law of sin – Rom. 8:1-4

 

        1. Destruction
        2. Pulls away from God
        3. A weight – Heb. 12:1

 

      1. By the law of the Spirit

 

        1. Life
        2. Draws towards God
        3. Unburdened
        4. A greater law
