Give Me This Water
GIVE ME THIS WATER
John 4:7-30, 39-42
The Jews had no dealings with the Samaritans. This was a providential meeting. Jesus reached out to this lowly woman
The water of this life does not satisfy, only living water will quench the spiritual need and empower the saints of God.
I. NATURAL WATER CAN NOT QUENCH SPIRITUAL THIRST
A. Natural water is only temporary
1. “This” water is not natural
2. The woman wanted lasting physical water
B. Religion will not satisfy
1. The Samaritans were religious
2. A form of Godliness
C. Man must see his need
1. All have sinned - Rom. 3:23
2. See beyond the physical realm
II. WE NEED LIVING WATER

1. Ask of Me
“If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink”
2. The Holy Spirit - HOLY
3. Recognize who Jesus is
a. Sir, you have nothing to draw with
b. Thou art a prophet
B. Shall flow rivers of living water – John 7: 37-39
1. He that believeth on Me
2. As the Scripture hath said
C. Without mixture
1. Poison will produce death
2. There is a counterfeit
D. We need a revival
III. THIS WATER PRODUCES LIFE
A. Power to witness – Acts 1:8
B. The salvation of souls
“Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.” (Isa 12:3)
1. Drawn by the power of God
2. Born of The Spirit
C. Be filled with the Spirit – Eph. 5:18
1. A river of life flowing from within
2. A manifestation of God’s power
D. In Him is life – John 1:4
1. The Life of Jesus
2. His life will produce life in us
3. Life from death
E. To overcome sin
