The King's Highway

THE KING’S HIGHWAY

 

And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.  (Isa 35:8)

 

No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:  (Isa 35:9)

 

Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.  (Pro 22:28)

 

 

God has provided the HIGHWAY for man.  Man must stay on the highway to reach heaven.  Jesus is the only way.

 

I. A HOLY WAY

 

A. The unclean SHALL NOT pass over it

 

1. This is God’s Word

2. Not for the unsaved

 

B. A separated way

 

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:  (Heb 12:14)

 

1. God is Holy

2. Separate from the world

 

C. A straight way

 

D. Jesus makes us Holy

 

1. Washed in the blood of the lamb

2. Justified by faith

3. Jesus is the way

 

 

 

II. A PROTECTED WAY

 

A. No lions on the way

 

B. No ravenous beast

1. Satan is the devourer

2. Scavengers eat the dead and wounded

b. The life of Jesus

 

C. Under the Blood of Jesus

 

III. A VICTORIOUS WAY

 

A. God’s way brings victory

 

B. Leads unto life

 

C. More than conquerors

 

D. A powerful way
