Title: By Faith Enoch

Text: Hebrews 11:1-6

v.5 Enoch instruction; discipline dedication This indicates he was a man that received instruction, applied instruction, and allowed the instructiomn he heard to bring discipline to his life.

ENOCH'S DISCIPLINE

If there is one thing needed in the church today it is discipline. Heeding instruction and applying that instructiomn to your life brings about discipline which in turn brings about dedication. People have so much dedication to life, but not to things of God and yet expect the same reward of Enoch.

ENOCH'S DEDICATION

Genesis 5:22 Enoch walked with God by faith. Scripture pinpoints a specific time in his life--after he begat Methuselah Enoch walked with God. Enoch had to have walked with the God prior to Methuselah's birth in order to recieve the revelation for His name, but after recieving this revelation he walked ever closer. Methuselah means _when he is gone it will come. _The signs of times are screaming at us, "You need to walk with God!"

The happenings in the Middle East today are nothing foreign to the Bible. The Church today is lukewarm, indifferent, and unconcerned. Preachers will never inspire the Church to be fire, but it will take persecution to awaken the multitudes. Some will heed preaching, but many will not. God will not awaken the church until after the little Bride is taken.

I. BY FAITH ENOCHED WALKED WITH GOD

WHAT DOES IT REALLY MEAN TO WALK WITH GOD?

In Genesis we have an account stating a fact, "Enoch walked with God." But, throughout the Bible we have instruction declaring how we ought to walk.

Romamns 8:14 (not A spirit but THE Spirit.) There is a difference between lambs and sheep and a difference between babes and sons.(hulios_ fully mature)_; Romans 13:13; 2 Corinthians 5:7 (feelings are not faith. Faith might produce feelings, but faith is a product of the WORD.) Galatians 5:16 Ephesians 4:1; 5:2; 5:8; 5:15; There absolutely are rules, they are God made, and if we do not follow them we will not make it.; Colossians 4:5; I John 2:6 walk in the light; walk even as He walked. That ,brother, is a straight line.; I John 1:7

Walking indicates a progression. We do not understand it all in a moment. But we recieve line upon line as we walk in the light as He is in the light. John 7:17;

  1. We need to grow in Faith Romans 1:17
  2. We need to grow in Grace 2 Peter 3:18
  3. We ned to grow in His Nature 2 Corinthians 3:18 We die that Christ may manifested in us. Sanctifiication is an ongoing and progressive work.

II. BY FAITH ENOCH PLEASED GOD

To walk with God requires agreement. Amos 3:3 We must agree with HIM on HIS rules, on HIS terms. By faith Enoch pleased God. Walking in itself indicates that he walked by faith. Faith is not something you, but something you do. How do we know that Enoch walked by faith? Because he PLEASED God. Faith without works stinks! Enoch's walking with God revelated his faith. Works do not save, but if Christ is living imn you there will be a definemnt pattern of Good works. James 2:22 Works indicate that faith is made perfect. How do we know our faith is faith? When it does work and reveals the life of God.

III. BY FAITH ENOCH WAS TRANSLATED

Enoch believed God.

Death is an enemy. Death is the result of sin. Death is pictured in our churches as a wonderful thing. Psalm 116:15 Precious = Costly; valueable (v.8) "He delivered me from death because costly in the eyes of the Lord is the death of His saints."

John 8:51 There is a vast difference between keeping God's Word and thinking we are all right.

By faith the overcomer will be translated, sit with Him on His throne, wear white robes, and receive crowns.

Let us walk with God in a deeper instruction, more disciplined, and greater dedicated way. Relevation, substance, meat are what makes the overcomer. Not everybody is going to escape, but you MUST BELIEVE IT. Must SEE IT, UNDERSTAND IT, And BELIVE IT. It takes REVELATION.

Revelation 19:7,8 "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints."

God has no pets. Enoch was a type and every type must have a fulfilment.
