TEXT: Hebrews 2:4

Preached by James R. Reynolds, Sr. on May 22, 2011 Sunday Morning.

Heb 2:4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

  1. NEGELECT CAUSES DESTRUCTION

If a man neglects himself, he becomes a worse person than what he was.

Ps 51:5—Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Experience alone teaches a man that he traveling a downward path.

The gravitation of sin pulls him him further and further down and away from God.

Ezekiel 18:4Eze 18:24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

Galatians 6:7

The nature of sin is in a man blinding his reason, searing his conscience and paralyzing his will.

Lay hold of the power of salvation.

How shall we escape if we neglect

Romans 6:23 —wage of sin is death.

To be carnally minded is death…

James 1:15 sin when it is finished bringeth forth death.
