Title: "The Principal By Which Men Shall Be Judged"

Text: Matthew 7:12

Divided we fall, and united we stand.

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to

them: for this is the law and the prophets

This is not part of the cerimonal law but the ...... law

The Rule of Life: Do to others as you would have them to do to you..

Sometimes we overrule the principles in our excitment.

There is rule of that the Lord does judge us by.

Matthew 22:36-39

Love the Lord with all your heart

Love your neighbor as yourself

The rule of life is love to the Lord and love to your neighbor.

They say who is my neighbor? Everyone that needs love.

The rule now is spiritual and both practical. Love is a spiritual law.

Love your neighbor not out of a love for man but out of a love for God. As an act of

obedience. Love is not all feeling, it is an act, it is obedience

There is a measure to love. - Love your neighbor as yourself. (And every man loves

himself, he may hate what he does, but he loves himself)

As lot of times we spend so much time with ourself. We make sure we are taken care of.

And the Lord said that is the measure we go by, Love your neighbor as yourself.

And this is all based on the fact that we love him. (If we can't love our neighbor, than we

can't truly love our neighbor.

How we treat others is how we will be judged.

Matthew 25:40 (...my brethern....done it unto me)

How you treat your brothers is the way you are treating God. Jesus was much concerned

with the lost but he was also very concerned with his brethern.

He was concerned with Peter, saying Peter, Satan hath desired to sift you as wheat and

when thou art converted - stregthen the brethern.

Converted in the greek means a stronger condensation of - to be established

To be stregthen means to be established. When thou get converted and strong, I want you

to go out and stregthen the brethern.

It is sad what people think, there is a grapevine in the church that is spreading lies about

the brethern. One person says one thing and it goes down the line and it is a whole

different thing when it finally gets back to the person. Let's not be caught supporting the

devils cause.

Galatians 6:1

What is the job of the spiritual (not those who think they are spiritual but are)? To restore

such a one in meekness. Say I love you, I want to help, I'm here to pray with you.

You can't help someone when you have your foot on their head.

Treating people as you want to be treated.

James 4:11 - speak not evil one of another brethern - (if you do) - you speak evil of the

law

James 5:19

God is angrey with sin. We can hate sin, but we need to love the person.

He that convertetha a sinner from the error of his way saveth a soul from hell.

Peter 3:8 - Be pitiful, Be courtous

Why should I? Because you might be in that situation and need love.

I John 2:9

I know the word is a sharp soward, it will cut what it needs to cut and help what it needs

to help

He that loveth his brother abideth in the light and there is no occasion of stumbling.

I John 3:14

We know we have passed from death unto life, because we have loved the brethern.

Not just words, it is action. Love one another even as I have loved you.

Prayer:

While I point this finger at this congregation to help them I know that I have three fingers

pointing back at me.

Follow me as I follow Christ.

We need to stregthen one another and establish one another

Don't be concerned that one person is climbing higher on the ladder, but help them to

climb and grow closer to you.

Help to stand and to grow closer to you.

END

It doesn't take much grace to fly off the handle and to stick in the wall, but it grace to

really love your brethern.

We need to go into this convention not with bittering and strife for our brethern but a love

and unity and ...
