I. The Grace of God hath Appeared to All Men. , v.11

Titus 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Acts 11:23 — Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

Wherever this Grace hath come in the demonstration of the Spirit and with power, it hath purified the polluted, t hath made the dhonest honest, the intemperate sober, the licentious chaste. It has converted the monster of depravity into the humble, correct, consistent temperate dsiciple of Christ.

Like the recovered maniac, "clothed and in his right mind."

A. Origin

Grace has its origin in the Father, its manifestation in the Son and its end in the Holy Ghost..

  • God's Riches at Christ's Expense

B. The Grace of God is Freely Given

The nature of the grace of God is that it is the free gift of god to mankind in the gospel of Christ.

Psalm 84:11 — For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Acts 11:23 — Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

Acts 13:43 —

C. Manifested in Self-Sacrifice

2 Corinthians 8:9 — For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

II. The Grace of God bringeth Salvation, v. 11

  • The Extent of Grace: Salvation, Christ in you

  • Salvation by Grace

Ac 15:11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

Romans 3:24 — Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Titus 2:11 — For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Titus 3:7 — That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Revelation 21:27 — And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

  • Salvation:
    • From the Condemning Power of Sin
    • From the Defilement of Sin
    • From the Love of Sin
    • From the Punishment of sin
    • Freed From the wrath of God

The proper significance of the word grace is 'favor' — unmerited goodness and mercy.

God devised a plan for the restoration of ruined man. It promises pardon, reconciliation, peache; it unfolds the glories of the eternal world, and it invites and stimulates the sinner to strive, through grace, to become fit for the heavenly inheritance.

The Person for whose benefit this grace of God hath appeared:

Tit 2:11 — For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

The Salvation which the Grace of God Bringeth is free. For all who will accept it.

God excludes none:

2 Pe 3:9 — The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

III. The Grace of God Teaches Us

Titus 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

An EFFECT of the Grace of God is INSTRUCTION, teaching.
