When God Speaks of Judgment

Text : Matthew 24:1-5, 37

** Mt 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.**

Jer. 25:1-9 Because you have not hearkened unto my Word.

Am 8:11 ¶ Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

  1. SOME NEVER EVEN HEAR HIM. Perished in the Flood

    1 Samuel 28:6—And when Saul enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets. (Saul went to see the witch of Endor.)

BECOMING SENSUAL THEY ARE LED AWAY BY EVERY WIND OF DOCTRINE. Unbelief is directed by the senses and operates in a different realm than faith which is spiritual. Thoughts & Feelings that Destroy Faith must not rule our decisions, but GOD’s WORD.

Many live their lives out of earshot of God. It isn’t that God isn’t calling and reaching, but they have set themselves just out of range of their ability to hear Him.

**Stay where you can hear God. **It is MY responsibility to remain in the place I can hear His voice.

  • Some loose sight of their faith and God—28:3 Samuel was dead…
  • Well, God hasn’t spoken to me—Aunt Lisa, Uncle Johnny no Sunday school

  1. SOME HEAR AFTER DIFFICULTY. Preserved Through

    Genesis 6:8—But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 13 ¶ And God said unto Noah,… I will destroy them with the earth.14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood;….

    Lu 12:36_—And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately._

    GOD HAS A PLAN OF KEEPING!3 Hebrew Children, Daniel in the Lion’s Den, Obadiah & 700 prophets,

  2. SOME HEAR HIM WHEN HE SPEAKS. Escaped!

    Ge 5:21 ¶ And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: 22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: 23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: 24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

ENOCH: dedicated, teacher, METHUSELAH”When He is gone, it shall come” died just before the flood.

Lu 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. GOD HAS A PLAN OF ESCAPE!

Enoch, Lot, Elijah, Jesus, Philip

**CONCLUSION:

**STAY WHERE WE CAN HEAR HIM, KEEP SENSITIVE. Develop AN EAR TO HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT IS SAYING…There is great advantage given to those who are listening and hearing what God is speaking.

Matthew 17:5—_While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. _(Transfiguration.)
